About me

Esmahan Bokhowa was born and raised in Bahrain where she started her career as a trainee accountant in 1995 and went on to become the head of Finance at Bokhowa Group. Over the years of her career, she gained a wealth of business experience and took responsibility for a number of challenging decisions for the Group. Esmahan is adept at multitasking, strategic planning, and in achieving the company’s goals and objectives. As Group CFO, she successfully introduced a SAP ERP system in order to streamline all the Company’s cost centers and introduced the Optimum payroll accounting system for the workforce of over 3,000 employees. In order to recognize staff performance, Esmahan introduced a system of cash rewards and commendatory certificates. She also arranged various training courses to develop their professional skills, reduce employee turnover, and increase work efficiency. This resulted in significant improvements in both performance and productivity at the Bokhowa Group. In 2013, Eman also took on management responsibility for Saar Mall, a new community shopping mall concept developed and owned by the Bokhowa Group. Over the past few years, she has led the way by introducing a number of cultural and community events at the Mall. Esmahan is an active member of a number of business groups and charitable societies such as the Entrepreneurs Organization, the Bahrain Business Women’s Society, the British Bahrain Business Forum, AmCham Bahrain, and a member of Tamkeen's Advisory Sector for Construction, Real Estate and Services. She studied accounting at the University of Bahrain and has an MBA from Torrens University in Australia.
